Animal Desire

It starts with a tingle

a shiver

a warmth

it passes through me

like a spirit

energy and blood

flowing

hot lava through my veins

grinning madly inside

I look around for witnesses

to my bursting heart

and glance at the one who caused this panic

so normal

so alluring
