The Atheist

When alone

you must keep guard

Influences

trustworthy and not

surround you

wanting you to act

to join them

Many forget to ask

which is the right path

as I've done in my past

Yet deep within me

I know

righteousness

When I'm left to choose my own path

like a fly on a window

I am unable to see

the simplicity

unable to recognize

my freedom

A handful of instincts guide me

but do not keep me company

my spirit is righteous

but alone
