Weird Exclamations

A new exclamation is needed

something less vulgar

yet just as accurate

That leaves out cursing

and the simple gasp is too outdated

It surprises even me to realize

despite my disbelief

the Christian gods escape my mouth too often

and always in the wrong context

All the classic phrases sound silly

taken literally

Screaming's not right

I'll save that for  broken bones

and heart-ache

When I need to exclaim

forgive me

It may sound weird
